If you enjoyed the original Zuma, Zuma's Revenge will be an all new take on the classic, and you'll have plenty more levels to conquer. PopCap has also added a few humorous additions and made the sound effects a part of the fun, so players won't have a moment to get bored. There's also a power-up that changes the mouth of the frog into a canon that can shoot three balls at one time, which can knock out multiple balls in the snake. For example, a laser power-up can immediately eliminate any balls that you aim at. The new power-ups add a lot to the game mechanics as well.
Players have to get clever about how they use their colored balls to make matches or else they could run out of time. The levels get harder and harder with each boss having a different puzzle that the frog must figure out. In between levels, players also have to beat bosses who each have challenges of their own that the frog must face. Players can also find new ways to score through creating combos, unlocking power-ups, shooting through gaps and finishing before the snake gets too close to the end.
The faster you clear the board, the more points you earn. The frog spits balls at the snake in order to create matches of three. Each level is challenging to complete, and there's all new ways to score big and beat Zuma before all the colorful balls disappear. The game play is exciting with flashy graphics, new power-ups and all kinds of game modes.
Although it was released in 2003 for the first time, it's sold over 17 million copies.
Popcap's Zuma's Revenge continues to be one of the best PC games.
